Working with Zimbra and Opennms

Had to make zimbra SNMP send traps.

After a bit of digging up found that zimbra uses swatch to monitor logs.

Regex matches as defined in swatchrc is used to decide when to send a trap.
swatchrc is just beautiful.

Destination was the host running opennms. Traps were ugly looking until we created a xml definition
in events.xml from the MIB found in zimbra’s shares.

mibs2opennms didn’t work for zimbra’s mib, seems I’m missing something here

very nice way to approach the problem. Are you still using zimbra monitored with opennms? would you like to share your configuration for zimbra monitoring?
