One of the most fascinating programs I have ever encountered is vim.
Like all things simple this simply does the job and what s more it is effective.
After the initial challenge of learning to use vi,it becomes habitual to discover new and uniques ways to achieve complex functionalities.
It also has an encryption feature that is easy to use. Though this does not match the security of PGP it nevertheless is an easy way to achieve simple encryption.
$vi newfile.c -x
Vi will then ask for an encryption key.
saving the file will result in an encrypted text that only vim can decrypt.
and encrypting with the and empty key will decrypt it.
Thats all in this post.
